Terms of Service

Last updated: March 17, 2026

By using curl-x ("the Service"), you agree to the following terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Service Description

curl-x is a free web-based tool that allows users to download publicly available media (videos, images, and GIFs) from Twitter/X. The Service processes tweet URLs submitted by users, extracts media links, and facilitates downloading those files to the user's device.

We do not host, store, or redistribute any media content. All media is fetched directly from Twitter/X's servers and streamed to your device.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You must not:

  • Use the Service to download content for the purpose of copyright infringement, unauthorized redistribution, or commercial exploitation without the content creator's permission.
  • Attempt to download content from private or protected Twitter accounts.
  • Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to send excessive requests to the Service.
  • Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or compromise the security or availability of the Service.
  • Use the Service to download, distribute, or facilitate access to illegal content.

3. Intellectual Property

curl-x does not claim ownership of any media downloaded through the Service. All content belongs to its respective creators and rights holders. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of downloaded media complies with applicable copyright laws and the content creator's rights.

If you are a content creator and believe your work is being misused through our Service, please contact us and we will work to address your concerns.

4. No Warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

  • The Service will be available at all times without interruption.
  • All tweet media will be successfully extracted or downloadable.
  • Downloaded files will be free of errors or in any particular quality.

Twitter/X may change their platform at any time, which could affect the Service's ability to extract media. We make reasonable efforts to maintain compatibility but cannot guarantee uninterrupted functionality.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, curl-x and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. This includes, but is not limited to, damages for loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption.

Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the Service (which is zero, as the Service is free).

6. Third-Party Services

curl-x is not affiliated with Twitter, X Corp, or any of their subsidiaries. We access publicly available tweet data through standard web protocols. The Service may display advertisements from third-party ad networks, which are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time, for any reason, without notice. We may block IP addresses or restrict access if we detect abuse or violation of these terms.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

9. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in accordance with those laws.

10. Contact
